I'm wondering if it will (line up) fit and work in a 1950 chevy truck. | | | | | Joined: May 2002 Posts: 155 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2002 Posts: 155 | Get your tape measure out and check, but a buddy of mine changed the rearend in his 51 to a later rearend several years ago and didn't have a problem..the truck is still his daily driver...

I have the rear end and am selling it to someone who has a 1950, so I can't measure to compare, that's why I was wondering. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 874 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 874 | The width of the '58 will be right for the '50. It will most likely will need the spring pads relocated. If it lines up or not is up to the guy doing the work.

The center section from the 58 will bolt right in the 50 housing, if you want to keep the houk brakes. Ether way you will need spring pad work
