Has anyone tried the 60-66 kick panels with speakers that LMC, and a couple other outfits are selling? If so, how was the overall fit of the panels, and how do they sound? I really like them, they sound good enough to me. The fit was pretty good as far as I remember, I installed them around 2 years ago. I bought mine from LMC. I think you'll be really happy with them, I know I was.

I have a set of 63-66 vents on the way to me to make them work. Just as a point of clarification--the '60-'61 vents are cable operated, but the '62 is the sliding handle. I swapped a set of '60/'61 vents into my '62 Suburban, and it wasn't a direct fit. Had to notch the opening in the kick panel to clear the operation cable, and drill new screw holes to mount the vents. -Brad

You say you bought yours from LMC? What year is your truck? I was thinking of buying some for my 61, but after reading the comments other people have left, now I'm not so sure I should. The mounting hole for the pull knob under the dash was there, with the threaded blind nut, making that part of it a bolt-in. But the kick-panel itself was different. (sorry for the hijack) -Brad

My truck is a 60 and my vents open by a handle. I don't have any problem opening the vents. I'll look at the truck later to verify this. I'm very pleased with mine and they look nice too.

They don't come with vent levers, there is an opening for the vent in the panel. I had no problems installing mine as far as I remember. Your truck looks very nice,I like the color and interior.

I'll have to look into this more, to see if those speakers would work.
