Hey guys,
Just installed a 1973, 10bolt(cutlass) under my 1948 1/2t and am wondering what to do about the brake cables that mount to the frame.I have new cables for the cutless brake but its about 3"to short to work with the original bracket. So what did yaull do?

I removed the lever action shocks and went with gas tubes so now I need to figure where to mount the top mount. The bottom mounted right under the leaf spring and holds the bottom of the shock between the frame and the tire, but where I need to mount the top is questionable. Any body done this?
Thanx,
mike

If You are going to use the mounts for AD truck than the top mounts that You can get from any of the venders is at a 60 degree from the bottom mount angled to the front of the frame if You need a pic I will post it .

Yes the rear and front are the same , use the top straight part of the frame and draw a line down to the rear mts. at 60 degrees toward the front on both front and rear and You got it , good luck and have fun .
