one of the intermediate leafs on the left rear spring is broke.
These are 9 leaf spring with separate helpers.
I am planning to take the broken leaf out and remove the same one from the other side.
Replacement springs seem to be all 7 or 8 leaf so I do not foresee any problems.
your thoughts? | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | no real problem if you're not loading it to the max, where it's best to have the leaf lengths as designed, the excess length space between the remaining leafs above/below changes the loading .... pay attention to the pack clamps too, which will need to be smaller to be tight .... you could also get just that leaf replaced at a spring shop [both sides]
