#54693 01/08/2006 11:26 PM | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | the bottom section of the pump has 2 fittings - one goes to the place on the manifold that the vacuum wipers would normally hook to, the 2nd is where the vacuum wiper motor hooks to instead - the fuel pump can then 'make up' for lower engine vacuum under load and keep the wipers moving - so they say - you'll hafta tell us, yer the one that has it! The employee of the parts supplier told me not to waste my money on it, go electric wipers that have steel gears. My vacumn wipers have always worked terrible. I would be interested how yours work with that particular fuel pump.
