I just felt like talking so I thought I'd give you guys an update on my old 58.

I drug this thing home a couple of months ago & it has sat since because I've been busy. The previous owner told me it should run if I clean out the gas tank (15 year old gas) and rebuild the carb.

I finally sat down & rebuilt the carb last weekend. Though since I still have not drained & cleaned the tank I can't re-hook the fuel lines.

I did run a host to a bottle of gas & to my great surprise the old truck started right up!

I swear - it sat for 15 years. Though it smoked & coughed I think it needed to have some blood circulate to lube all the old parts.

I've got a layoff coming in a week - I thought I'd flush the tank & lines & get it running proper then.

Once I get it road worthy I'll let you guys know.

It's always a good feeling when it starts up for the first time! Congratulations!

The next milestone will be when it actually moves under its own power!

Keep us posted!
