I have my cab on my rotisserie and spent the first day just moving it to observe it in different positions. I didn't quite get the center of gravity right but it"s very close. I've added patch panels to the front corners and have the cab turned so I can work on the bottom. In cleaning off the undercoating got to thinking which would best protect the floor pan. Would like input as to which is best undercoating, bedliner,POR, or Eastwood encapsulator.

if you have the money to do this i would go with rhino lining on the bottom you will never tear through it and will last longer then the truck itself smile not that you would ever need it but its also semi-bomb prof smile

Thanks for the reply, was wondering why more people don't use a bed liner, does it keep the moisture out or does it just protect from physical scratches. Should one first protect with a good rust encapsulator and then add the bedliner?

just a thought, if you are rotisserie restoring it, will you ever drive it in bad weather? my experience with undercoating has all been bad, usually traps moisture and causes rust instead of preventing it. I would recommend a good prep, primer and maybe a rust preventing paint, unless you have some imperfections you want to hide with undercoating.

I agree with 53monster....What conditions will you be using your truck in?
As far as scratches are concerned, I wouldn't worry....
It's unlikely it'll get scratched unless you or someone else isn't careful when working on/around it.
Here's what I did with mine
POR-15 is as tough as old boots and although it's UV sensitive,if it ever sees the sun,it means i've got bigger problems to worry about!

I have used Herculiner bed liner and if it is applied correctly will not hold moisture. It is painted on just like paint and adheres as well or better than paint.
