The truck I got was stripped out of the old stuff. Anybody know where I might be able to find a "clear" diagram or photos on how the turn signal components mount in the steering column? I've got the factory shop manual and I can't find a detailed procedure on how to replace it. I also have the factory assembly manual but those pictures don't help much either.

I may still have a copy of it in my truck,I'll have to look. Maybe he can send you a copy if you contact him. It was a nice diagram of all the parts and was very helpful. I still can't figure out the turn signal cancelling mechanism, so I just do it manually.

I have a 4 sp hydramatic, it seem to me that there were other truck/cars with the 4 speed hydramatic used during those early years. So there must be something I could re-use in order to make mine work? I have to hand cancel the signals like a lot of other folks. Did you try Pauls's GMC parts, maybe you could call or email him and see what he says. I hand cancel mine too, it's no big deal but it would be nice to correct that. I think I have all the parts but gave up trying to get them installed. Enjoyed looking at your Webshot Album.
