For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 71 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 71 | My 53 3100 was repainted so I can't tell how the original cowl vent was painted. Was the screen and under cowl portion painted the same as the truck or cad plated?

I soaked mine in Ospho and found what appeared to be cad on the screen area but also some dark paint. This may seem trivial but it's the details that matter. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 Master Gabster | | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 | To restore your bolt to its original condition and color will be somewhat different from other bolts. A lot of minor differences can be found from trucks assembled in the different plants.
