I found a Bread truck for sale that is built on a '50 3/4 ton chevy foward control chassis. Body is all aluminum and is in great shape.
It has 8 lug 15" split rims, single wheels. The engine condition is unknown, but I suspect that it is bad.
How hard is an engine swap in a truck like this?
How hard are parts to find?
Seems like it would make a sweet swapmeet ride and camper.
Thanks for the comments, Doug

Grummans are cool. I don't know anything other than that. There are a couple around here, that have been polished like an airstream trailer. Very cool.

The old man drove one of those for awhile. Neat.

Hey Mapes,

Now I know where you got the idea for the 'shaved beaver look' that you put on that poor animal that you sent us.

She finally stopped shivering and likes tequila.

I will try to get out there on Sunday and get some photos and the vin numbers. It looks like the body would have to come off to replace the engine. Does it come out the bottom side?

The later models of the 80's and 90's, the motors come out the front.
