Hy alberta chevy, I've seen a couple of different styles on the larger trucks, but they're definatly different than the 1/2 - 1 ton ones, hope that helps.

I have a 40 1 1/2 ton here in Manitoba. The bumper on it was the same as on a pickup, and chromed as well. I am very certian that this was the origional bumper. My 41-46 2ton has a considerably wider and heavier bumper, non chromed. Are you sure your truck is a "2 ton".I was under the assumtion that they wer'nt started till the 41-46 series, with a heavy plate riited to the outside frame rail for extra strength!I am thinking your 40 will be the same model as this one I have, a 1 1/2 ton.If you would like to post the model number, I will get the one of this and compare. Jim
