can this seat be original equipment on a 65 c60 2ton.
http://s427.photobucket.com/albums/...view&current=partstrkteardown014.jpg
as i took this truck apart i noticed lots of parts that will work on my 63 c60 or am i just seeing things.
steering coulum, inner finders, steering box, lots of little things look the same to me.
this truck was hit hard on the passenger side one cab mount bolt was missing two of them were bent.

if the parts wont work on my 63 then im gona have to build a 65 if they will work on my 63 im gona have a lot of parts left over for a 1965 c60 2ton.

i took this truck apart for the parts and practice now im not so worried about taken my 63 apart i have a better idea of what to expect when i start.

I can't speak about that seat, but I can tell you about parts interchange. Yes, a bunch of those parts off the '65 will work on your '63. The fenders, hood, and lots of other parts will fit on the '63. So, you have a bunch o' parts now! Of course, you could always fix up the '65 and have 2 C60's. Just sayin.... grin

pretty much the main difference is the windshield, cab, and doors, all related to the kneenocker wrap around windshield.60 to 63 for wrap around,64 to 66 for flat. The rest should fit!

I have sone some chev trucks & there are all kinds of diff seats.
There are what I call 1/3 driver seats only.
Some are 1/3 drivers seat & 2/3 passenger.
Some Pass are 1/3 to.
Some are bench seats, Its what ever the custemer wanted when it was bought. Or what the new oner put in there when they bought it used.
I have a IH truck with a chev suberben seat in it, No leg room sit streight up. Knees hit steering wheel.

I remember seats like that in new several cab & chassis we had in our shop at the time. So, yes...I'd say it is original.

The only down side to swapping to the newer frame is the vin number stamped on the frame will be for a '65 not the '63...if that matters...
