I agree with oldbluetruck. As far as beating on the pistons while they are connected to the crank, you are working against all of the other pistons at the same time. Pull all the spark plugs out and put the starter on the block and try turning it over with the starter again. If it is moving you probably can get it loose. You can back it up with the bar and try the starter again.

Try soaking your lifters too, they can make an engine seize up just like a stuck piston.

I agree with Whitedog. I have had a lip (probably crusted dirty oil) build up at the top of the lifter cylinders.

This lip is not to be scraped off. It will soften and come off with a plastic tool or finger nail.

I hope this helps.

Ok, I tried to drop the crank today but got stuck with the oil pump. I can't get the bolt that holds the oil pump in place out. I tried PB blaster and some heat, and nothing.

I than lowered the crank slightly so I could turn the flywheel and get the bolts on the flywheel plate. I got them all out, but I can't pull the darn clutch out. Is there some trick or tool I'm missing?

Any help would be great.
