It looks to me like I have a drain at each side of the windshield. Do these just take rubber hose and go down the side kick panel? Is there a drain for the cowel vent as well? This is a 40 1/2 ton. Thanks,Bob

Yes on my 46 there is drain with rubber tube on each side of the
windshield that goes down the side of the kick panel. Also the cowel vent has a drain hose/tube.

On my ’41 there was a rigid tube behind the kick panel exiting the cab through a floor opening just in front of the door post. That tube was connected to a short tube extending down from the hole in the windshield framing with a short hose.

The cowl vent drain is connected by hose to an opening in the top center of the firewall

Thank you for the answers. Is the cowl vent drain much larger diameter than the side drains? I see a larger tube sticking down under the vent. Does a rubber hose fit over the outside of this tube for draining. It just seems too large to me.

Yes, Bob the cowl drain hose is much larger, can't remember, but it's either 1/2" or 5/8" It should connect to another tube extending through the center of the firewall.
