I've noticed some trucks came thru with the rear window area painted a different color...usually white..I think it wraps around to the coresponding door area. I like that look. Doing my truck Omaha Orange with possible ivory or cream 2nd color. I could use a pic to see where exactly they put the second color...where the seperation line isI have gone thru the gallery..not all..but didn't see much.

Thanks,

Keith

Actually, posting pix is relatively easy. They need to be hosted on site such as Webshots or Photobucket, the posted in the thread a a link, direct posting isn't allowed (too much bandwidth).

some on a big window here Keith - 2nd color on the rear pillar was one pattern of 2tone for the TF - the 2nd color was most always 'Bombay Ivory'

Funny- I was looking at old white tones from the 50's today and thought Bombay White AKA Arabian White would look good as the second color. Also found Panama Creme that might work also..

Keith

Ok-I'll be a friend Blev..I'd like to see them..

Also..these were factory options right? Was there
certain packages that had the rear window area painted?

slickKieth - I don't know of any documentation of 2tone pattern option numbers, but there were a few different packages - most common was like this, roof above the drip as the "2nd" color [and again and another], and the panel had it too - then there was the pillars only [and again] - the Cameo was standard with the reverse pattern, the pillars red

this was the most common panel [and burb] 2tone treatment, that white area being called the "advertising panel" - I'm not convinced this is an original pattern, but it is to be found .... then the common fleet pattern is like mine, using the feature line as a break, and the rockets were "body color" [again], not the 2nd color .... I have seen TF stepsides split at the feature line like that, but don't know if it was factory

the color treatment was seperate from any other option, and of course commercial outfits could order any color pattern they wanted to match their fleet colors

yes Keith, that's the way the back cab would be from the factory with the small window - the white also goes onto the door window surround just on the flat part top and bottom [where your arm would lay], and that really does tie it in nice

I was wondering where the white cuts off on the door..where the rear door section by the window ties in with "where you rest your arm" or the full length of "where you rest your arm"?

Thanks,

Keith

easier to show than say wink the white goes down to the top of the molded section and follows that flat right around the window
