Can AD truck rear fenders be cut down to fit on AD Panel/'Burbs?
Sure looks like a good metal person could pull it off to me... | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 381 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 381 | No - the AD pick up truck fenders have more outward bow to them. The panel and 'burb fenders are flatter outer face. I already trying it , and the fenders didn't look right on the panel/burb. | | | | Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 5,152 Cruising in the Passing Lane | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 5,152 | I've seen it done successfully. But the purpose was not to 'replace' the stock fender, but rather to fit the opening and cover a tire put further outside the side of the truck. Here is a picture. And more pictures. Start around 100_0486 and poke around... I took a bunch of pictures of this one.

If you got a modern rear axle that is too wide, then the cut down pick up fenders will work at covering up the tires. This would be most likely used in a street rod situation. Or - If you were staying stock but wanted to put a dually rear axle in it, that would be a wild set up. | | |
