My parts book says the drums we found fit a 5000 Lb. axle, the p/n for that axle in my book is 3852520 which superceded 3831896. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 | Hy Perry Dean, I decided to do a check and confirm the two axles were interchangeable, and the two parts books I checked, only list 9000 Lb. and 11000 Lb. beam axles for 62, so check carefully before you invest any money in that 62 axle. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 86 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 86 | timbuk when i first got the truck i wasn really interested in rebuilding it so i put a 73 elec 2 speed rear i got from a junk yard in shawknee oklahoma 450.00 put it in and put new brake cyclinders{48bucks} on it new shoes drums are ok
now with the new front brakes im not so worried about people pulling out infront of me cuz it will stop now
