...
on my "400" eng in my other 67 c-10 it has one of those hoses from the valve cover to the air breather ...some kind of emmissions control thing I guess...not having much effect I'd say...
my question is will the PCV valve take care of venting if I close off the one from the covers to the air breather and change the chrome one on the 250 to a basic cap to stop the minor leaks?...

The p.v.c. system should function but there must be a source to allow air to enter the engine otherwise you will create a vacuum in the engine and your fuel pump might stop working | | |

#52570 11/18/2005 4:39 AM | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 75 Member | | Member Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 75 | Its time to replace with a new one. it is dirty or you could clean it out with a degreaser. you must use one are like in the post from 3B. it will crete to much vaccum on the crank case and suck more oil out the PVC value.
