Has anyone hooked up a remote starter, one with the two clips and the starter trigger? If you have, please tell me how to do it...the instructions don't mention a '50 chevy truck. Thanks.

starsfan,

Remote starter switches only work with solenoid type starters. Unless your '50 has a automatic transmission or has been modified it should have a 'stomp starter' which won't accept a remote starter switch.

If you do have a solenoid type starter, one alligator clip will attach to the large BATT lug on the solenoid and the other will attach to the small terminal on the solenoid with the little wires on it.

A large screwdriver or prybar makes a remote starter for a stomp start truck.
