In the process of a frame off restoration and will be working on the chassis after the cab is off and wondering what is the best way to make the truck drive down the road better at todays speeds. The main concern is the possibilty of swapping rearends but don't like the fact of two different bolt patterns. Would it be more cost effective of swapping transmissions for a S-10 T5. The frame that I have now is in very good condition and I don't mind the front drum brakes. | | | | | | ZooKeeper Unregistered | | ZooKeeper Unregistered | Just swap out the ring & pinion in the 3rd member to a high gears. That's what a friend had done w/his 65 PU && you get to keep the lug pattern you already have. Or you might be able to swap your axles into the new rearend. I believe up to 72 will fit but I might be wrong on this part...Joe | | |
