Truck originally had a hydra-matic. I want to use the existing column shift. Has anyone had experience in doing a conversion like this? Looking for suggestions on shifter linkage and TV cable hookup (have Offenhauser intake with 2 Carter/Webber carbs. No offense, but please don't tell me to go Langdon or Inliners. Looking for a real live experience. Thanks

Great information. I wasn't following too well until you clarified that the standard transmission and clutch parts were still in the truck. As I get this project underway i'll take pictures to share. As always, the help here is the best anywhere.

T.V. cable adjustment is CRITICAL!!! on this transmission if it's not done correctly you will burn up your clutches. It's not like the old days open the throttle and adjust the cable so that its all the way out when the throttle is fully open. I think you should contact someone like Pheonix transmission about T.V. cable linkage. | | |

Will be glad to keep you updated on the progress. Hope to get a TV cable bracket and carburetor stud in the morning. I have a Buffalo adapter and flywheel. Biggest hurdle will be making the rear motor mounts and getting the driveshaft cut to length. I think! Bowtie is a good information source. I have ordered their electric lockup kit.
