Just wondering what you would use for a excelarator set up for a 350 4 barrel in a 48 1/2 ton. I know there are a lot of options. But, what is the best??

I used one front a 1972 Chevy Nova. Made a new pivot and works awesome. Just make sure to have a driver tell you where to weld it first.

I just ordered from Ebay a 73-87 Chevy Truck, Accelerator Pedal Assembly w/Cable IT cost 18.00 plus freight. The seller was:

Of course it hasn't come in yet so I can't say if it is the right fit.

A stock 1975 pedal and bracket. I got it free when I scrapped the truck. There are 2 different cable lengths, one for V-8 and one for L6. Shouldn't be over $5-10 at the U-pull-it yard. I have been told that the same unit was used from the '60s till 1987.

best wishes,

Les

It seems that a 67 to 87 pedal assembly will work. My question is........ Did any of you have to do any modifications to anything? Will the cable system work on any carb?

Let me know what you think....

I used a pedal and cable assembly from a late model (1999 or 2000) Chevy S-10. It bolted on perfectly and the cable is the right length to connect with a Holley 4-barrel on a 350 small block. No modifications were necessary.

Here's the accelerator pedal I used.
The cable is a Spectre universal cut-to-fit from Autozone.

Tom,
On mine with the salvage pedal all my Uncle had to do was make a round hole square for the stock cable to clip into on the the firewall other than that everything was pretty much "Plug & Play", the Caddilac cable was a bit long a cable from a mid 70's malibu was the perfect length.
I had to make the square hole round again for the new lokar Cable to install the new pedal.
