I,m tempted to cut it up for scrap(but temper tantrums don't help) . Is there a later model engine swap that doesn't invole major rework? There are some differences between the motors externally, and I'm not an expert so I can't tell you want they are. At one time I toyed with dressing a Pontiac 455 as a 347 for a truck project, and my conclusion was it could be done as long as no one who really knew Pontiac motors was looking at it.
