Hi,

Anyone know the best way to remove the factory vacuum-style governor off a 66 C60 with a 327 and a 2bl rochester carb? I have the motor it in my 66 c20 now.

Hy JC, if I'm remebering correctly all you have to do is install a standard carb, and distributer, an H.E.I. distributer may even fit, and would be an excellent upgrade, hope that helps.

Thanks for the input. That is good alternative that I am considering, but I was wondering what it would take to use the existing parts

Hy JC, if you disconnect the vacuum line to the distributer the system should function as a non governed one, I think, don't forget to plug the source of vacuum you removed, hope that helps.
