The whole front end of the truck is removed, nothing in the way at all. We hook onto the engine, lift, but the studs on the motor mount need to be lifted clear to pull the engine forward. Trouble is, when we do that, the engine is up aginst the firewall, and will not clear. Anyone know a simple way? Thanks for any help. | | |

The front mount bolts are carriage bolts and can be a pain to get the nuts off. Usually need to hold the head down while the nuts are being turned.

Where do you have your lift attached?
You want the front of the motor tip up, tail down, as you lift to clear the firewall.

I think we need to tilt a little more on the front and push out the bolts to clear the front crossmember. Thanks again! | | |
