I got this today out of a 47-53 AD, which I think has a 261 as the oil lines were larger which means it was a full pressure motor. I need the gaskets and thermostat but not sure what actually came with this engine. I will most likely need to know when I walk into the local parts store.

Thanks

Chris,

My guess is that it WAS a 261 engine. Do a search in this forum using the phrase "bypass thermostat" and you will be properly educated.

I guess the water heat for my intake should come off the top fitting and the water temp sensor for my tbi conversion on the bottom fitting as that needs to monitor the temp. Sound right.
