Anyone have a source for a Deluxe heater core with the water valve port? I ordered one from my local parts store, and the core doesn't have the mounting boss for the water valve.
If I'm going to restore something, I want it to work like it did when new!
I've got the old heater core, so seeing about getting it recored is a possibility, but that spot just West of my wallet is still sore from when the local shop repaired my '54 Buick underseat heater core.

Anyone buy one recently from a supplier?

Try LMC truck catalog number CBE.33 page 35. You can view the catalog on line at www.LMCtruck.com. You can order a free catalog from there as well.

LMC's catalog shows the same pic as the one at my parts store--two pipes coming off it, not one pipe and a manifold.

Looks like it's off to the radiator shop.

$90 for a new core on the original upper and lower tanks. Ouch.
But at least it'll be RIGHT.
