Anybody use any of the gauge decals that are offered by Jim Carter and some other parts places to cover the gauge faces and speedometer? My gauges work, but have faded and must have been replaced at different eras, as the fading is not consistent. I am jut wondering about the look and quality.

Ive used them on 2 different gauge/speedo sets and they look really good. Just make sure the old gauge face is clean and free of bumps,as theyll show up in the new sticker.
Spray the faces with lightly soapy water and position the sticker where youre happy with it and then press the excess water out,and leave them to dry.
Once its all back in the dash,it looks like new!

They are really easy to use but Marty is right about the bumps every little thing will show. Take your time and work carefully and it is a fun little project.

had the decals on my 37 for 9 years and counting. Still look good and I also put them on my panel.

AGAIN, make sure the face is clean. The least tiny particle will show a little "bump" as stated above.

Ditto on being clean and using a little water to allow some install movement. I used rubbing alcohol to clean after I lightly sanded. Some pictures here. Have fun and good luck

I bought a set, but have not put them on yet. I have seen Achipmunk's and they look really good. I am a little picky over the 'safety first' missing under the 55mph like the stock dash has (1937). I am hoping to figure out how to get it on the decal before I install them..picky I know...
