does somebody know if a front axle (bare I-beam) from a 56 1/2 ton Chevy Truck fits in a 55 1st serie 1/2 Truck.
I like to swap just the axle, that means I like to leave the original king-pin, leaves, shocks and spindels of that 55 Truck.

You might be able to modify it to work, but its not just a bolt on operation.

Does an axle from 47-53 Truck fit in a 55-1st serie Truck or has there also changed something?
