| | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 175 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 175 | Ok so I'm still dinking around with the door latch on my '61 apache and I figure I need to take the latch out, my problem is the screws are not cooperating even with penatraiting oil, should I use a plumbers torch to heat up the screws to get them out or is there another option?

Whenever I head to a latch chore, I always take my impact screwdriver set. They are pretty inexpensive, have a good assortment of bits, and one good blast with a medium ballpein and the screw surrenders.

The impact keeps the phillips blade from slipping and messing up the head.
