I am trying to save money so I was going to go to a junk yard and buy a good used set and fab my own braket possibly(?) Has anyone done this, would you recommend it? Thanks in advance for everyone's help. | | | | Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 239 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 239 | Are there not any old trucks in your local junkyards? Check to see if they have a Hollander Interchange manual. That will tell you what will bolt in. Your master cylinder will work with or without a power booster. As long as you're making changes it would be wise to step up to a dual chamber master cylinder from a drum brake truck 1967 or later.

I was definitely planning on going with the dual chamber one but one thing that I have been curious about is that I have seen other 64 C10 with the power master cylinder setup and the bracket that holds it to the firewall is huge! in the sense that it appears to keep it about 7 inches from the firewall, I have been wondering why that is. | | |
