Ok 1 bracket has been welded together, 1 more to go and then they will be shipped my way. I grabbed a 2nd pump from the local yard and am painting it at the moment. I also grabbed a dual groove pulley so I can run the alternator off the p/s pump.
I discovered one thing about these pumps. The first pump I got has a different pressure output fitting than the second pump I just picked up. I believe the first pump came off of a Dakota pickup were as the second one came from a full size puckup. The pumps are exactly the same just the output fitting is different. 1 good thing is that the fitting can easily be changed out, and can probably (I haven't tested it yet) use a GM fitting.
I got the first two head bolts changed out to studs. I found that Jeep Inline 6's have basically the same head bolts, the length of the bolt was just a inch longer than the gm inline 6 bolt, took care of that with a hack-saw. Thread length is the same as the gm bolt.
