This is on my '70 C10. Both low meams work but I have no high beams. I changed the dimmer switch thinking that was the problem but it wasn't.

Is there a way to check the headlights to see if the high beam is burnt out? Hate to replace the lights and maybe still have the same problem.

Get a test light & see if you have current at the headlight socket when they are turned on. Check the connector on the dimmer switch they are sbject to corrosion.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

don't forget to check for power and ground at the headlamp,
jump power and ground directly to the headlamp to see if it's burnt out....

don't forget to check for power and ground at the headlamp,

if there was a bad ground he wouldn't have low beams !!
maybe as mentioned an open circuit for high beams probably close to the foot switch.

I bet this is all related to his lights flickering mentioned in another post. I bet the headlight switch is bad, I think power for all the lights runs through that switch.

it's the headlight switch if the wire terminal is corroded or a broken wire there. if the lows work and not both the highs, then it's the dimmer or wires . a stock harness (which we don't know what he has) has the same fuse for all.

unless he has what some of us have
a separate circuit for each. i run two relays ... one for each Lo/Hi beam
it's easy to trouble shoot.
