Can anyone HELP

If so, the box will need shimmed out to use anything but 55 or 56 265 V8 car left manifold. These are easy to find at swap meets and probably on ebay. The 265 manifold WILL clear but barely. I like to grind a 1/16" off the corner of the gear box right by the bolt head and a tad off the manifold so it has a full 1/8" clearance. The 265 manifold is a flat log type with a 2 bolt exhaust pipe flange that uses a flat gasket and is not something you want for big horsepower. Fine for everyday street driving.

They were not designed for v-8s. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though.
