My truck is a 65 4wd Bowtie (Chevy) -- I currently have 2 parts trucks in my inventory... both are 79's one is 2wd (hi po 350) but complete rust all over body --- other is 4wd currently using it to haul wood for the winter...
My thinking is that I can swap several parts of these trucks over the 65 such as moving gas tank to between the frame- obviously the 350 hi performance engine and maybe some axle swaps possible- considering using the a/c unit if time allows... does anyone know how much other stuff off the 79's that i can swap? Right now I am not concerned about keeping the 65 stock so any help is appreciated. thanks

Is it pretty easy to convert the steering and suspension? Or probably need to expect a few small mods? Have you seen any swaps where the gas tank was moved to the frame and if so is that fairly easy to do? My guess is it would be easy to do as long as brackets and fuel lines are set properly.
