When I put them on and let the load of the frame on them, the rust bullet flaked off. I'm thinking of just putting a thin coat of spray paint on. Has anyone else painted the leaf springs without the bending making it flake off?

I put on some Krylon rust tough spray paint. It is sticking just fine. The rust bullet worked great on everything else. But I sandblasted everything else too.
