Hey guys...My first post to the new group of fellow chevy gurus. I just found a '69 Canero rear end and will be installing a TH400 in the '58 I aquired and want to know if the original driveline from the camero will slide into the TH400 tail or what problems will I face? Thanks a lot. By the way, Sid the drop axle guy turned me onto this site and so far I have found some very valuable info.

If your talking about using the driveshaft and rearend from the Camaro the Camaro would have to have had a TH400 trans for the tailshaft to work in your TH400 trans.Most likely it didnt but no big deal just pick a used TH400 slip yoke at your local salvage yard and put it on your driveshaft.Most likely the Camaro driveshaft wont be the correct length so you will have to have one made at a driveline shop.The slipyoke should cost you no more than $25 at a salvage yard and to get a driveshaft built and balanced with ujoints installed should run $100 +.

Around here the driveshaft work cost between 350 and 400 clams. I would start with a new slip yoke as an older one could be warn and give you vibration problems. Good Luck.

Thanks guys...looks like new driveline time. gonna be around $125 for a new one once I get all the measurements and the trans/rear end installed.
