The upper oil line that comes from the oil canister goes to a T fitting near the rear of the block. Can any one tell me what else connects to that T connection?

Mine comes out of a T on the driver side just behind the exhaust pipe. A copper line goes to the back of the dash. | | |

That's right. If the guage fails, you have to use the 'oil leak' test. | | |
