Finally had some time to get this designed.... It fits into the dash where the original speaker/ash tray went uses the same bolt holes.

I tried hard not to have to touch the dash, but I'll need to knock the divider out between the speaker and ash tray opening. And a small radial notch for the big gage. I'll most likely leave the metal and just move it so the dash could be restored if desired.

I could have more cut if folks were interested.

I like it, what size are the smaller gauges. Ive been wanting to make a similar item that would mount 4 2-1/16" gauges in that center section.

The smaller top 3 and bottom right are 2.10 dia. and will clear your typical 2 1/16 gage like this one..

http://autometer.com/cat_gaugedetail.aspx?gid=3199&sid=11

the smaller bottom left one is 2.45 OD - designed to take an innovate wideband O2 gage.

The big opening is for a tach like this one:

It wouldn't be hard to delete a hole or blank it so the center doesn't get machined open.

About how much would one of these cost? Can one be made out of say plain steel so it can be painted? Price depending I may be interested as I would like to mount my 4 2-1/16" gauges in the center section but don't really want to have to make a panel to weld in and one that would screw in would be great.

it wouldnt take much to make a die set to stamp these out of 18 gauge.

If you had the tooling which would be not cheap. OK for volume.
