Using parts from a '72 to '87 you can swap disk brakes, or the entire IFS with disks to your truck.
I don't know how to do rear disks without either a kit or a replacement axle on one of these.

#48851 08/11/2005 3:21 AM | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 75 Member | | Member Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 75 | with the 230 or 250 engine the mounts will work with the v8 just take off the steel piece between the mount and the engine and the eight will drop right in. the six mount are stronger anyway and easier to get the bolt into then the v8 type. the flywheel or flex should bolt up also with no problems. if you go to a v8 the front end will come up a little bit. the v8 weight less then the six.
