It already has a new manual drum/drum mc with 10/10 residual valves. Drum brakes are working ok, just want more stopping power so am adding disks up front. I think all I need to do is change the front residual to 2 and I'm, good to go? The mc is under the floor in the original location. The company I bought the kit from said I should be good to go with a 2 lb? However I read now that using a drum/drum manual mc with a disk brake will cause the disks to drag? Conflicting information. Thank you in advance.

No, for two reasons. First you will not have enough pressure or volume and second the drum brake master will have a residual valve that will cause the disc brakes to drag.
