| | | | Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 159 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 159 | I am completely taking the stepside bed of my truck apart to sand it and I cant get the bed sides to seperate from the piece in the back under the tailgate that the tailgate hinges to. I have removed all the bolts that appear to be holding this end piece on. do the sides slide out from the bottom piece or slide up from it?

My '50 bed has two tack welds there in addition to bolts but I'm not sure if its ever been taken apart or not.
