Plan your wire routing to miss moving parts and hot spots. Use grommets when passing thru metal, make sure you get good grounding everywhere. If you have crimp-on connections take your time and make sure they are solid. Any splices you make, I would solder them, and use heat-shrink tubing to waterproof. Once you get going its not that hard. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 1,703 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 1,703 | Yup what Bruce said and try this also, get out the instructions and lay out the harness around the truck on the floor where it all goes to and then stand back and you will get a mental picture of how it lays out in the truck this helps being able to see it instead of the INTIMIDATING box of rolled up wires.

Every wire is numbered, and the directions tell you where to connect each wire. You will probably also need a wiring diagram for your truck. You can find one in your shop manual, or by itself on e-bay for a few bucks.
The hardest part is making sure you have a good path to ground at each device. Grounding wires are not included with the harness. It realy makes for a bad day when the smoke is let out of the wires.
