Go to the parts store and get some 2" lowering blocks and u bolts, and your lowered.with a nice rake. | | |

Putting lowering blocks in the front is dangerous due to the multi-directional force from the steering. Flipping the axle over the springs creates steering problems and only leaves about an inch travel between the axle and the oil pan. Mono leafs or the dropped axle is the best way to go. I had considered monosprings, but didn't know of anyone that had tried them on an AD. Now I do and if the ride is good it's worth considering when the time comes. Right now I'm adding power disks to the front and a 605 box for power steering. I'm going to keep the original steering wheel, but lower it toward the dash a little for more 'belly' clearance. I'll post some photos when I'm done. Thanks again for all the great input.

Legal or not, they won't lower the front of a '52 Chevy/GMC 1/2-ton.
