I've almost got the engine and trans painted and new gaskets, all set to put back together.....

Wrong. The old bolts are rusted/mismatched/vise-gripped, etc....

If someone has a rundown on correct grade/size/length's of bolts for bellhousing to motor, and intake-exhaust manifold to engine, I'd really appreciate it. Or a source for a bolt kit? Steel, not stainless, polished, etc.... plain old bolts, like chevy used.

Thanks folks

I believe the engine to bell houseing are 1/2 in. coarse thead. The manifold bolts are 3/8 coarse thread. Use your old bolts for the length. I like grade 8 bolts. The Ace hardware store I use has a great selection of grade 8 fasteners.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

The bellhousing bolts are 7/16 coarse thread,1-3/8 long. The original bolts are often umarked, some marked "HCA",but they were most likely grade 5.
