I have a chance to get a 5spd trans out of an 83 2wd S10 Blazer. Is this the right T5 that everyone is using in their trucks.

I'm not planning on swapping out my orig. trans but the price is right on this one (free grin ) so if it will work it's worth getting and saving just incase my 60 year old trans takes a dump.

What say Ye, should I get it?

Thanks George

46forme, anything free is a good deal! That is the 5 speed many are using in AD trucks. They are plenty strong behind a stock 235, should last forever. I say grab it now!

the tailshaft/shifter is very desirable.it fits the t5s with the shifter in the wrong place.
