Single turbo charging the factory I-6. How would it handle the boost? Even a light amount should signifigantly up the power but not knowing the engine, How receptive would it be to an ITB sheetmetal intake manifold?
Just a thought. The main thing the engines suffer from is intake and exhaust flow problems, and a turbo would wake it up. You don't need to raise the compression or change the cam much. Just be careful about revs. I would do a custom EFI setup if I was boosting a 'bolt.

Check Ebay as there are many turbo manifolds available. A simple belt driven supercharger would work to.
The older 235's and 216's would respond just as well, however I would be leery of boosting the 216 with a turbo as the oil pressure is not there for the turbo, nor the now higher stressed main bearings for that mater

Or extrenal oil system for the turbo. More money than its worth unless you like the odd engine factor, then I would go for a Vortec 4200 on Boost and get 500hp.
