Hello fellas wave




Ok I got 235 that runs and idles fine but the moment that I step on the gas pedal,it will die out on me. It will crank right up but it will do the same thing. headscratch It seems like the timing is off.

The vacum advance looks original and the moving parts are a little sloppy. I just got the truck and the cap,points and rotor are new. And the gas filter as well. Any tips? Thanx

You could have a bad accelerator pump. Take the air cleaner off and work the linkage. You should see a squirt of gas. If not the pump is bad, otherwise I have no idea.

Agree with Czechman. The ethanol blend they make us use is hard on accelerator pump parts.

Everything is different now...
