My truck currently has 4 wheel drum brakes and if I buy a power brake kit to work with my current setup, can I later upgrade my brake system to front disc brakes and still be able to use the same power brake system? I am asking since I see power brake systems for drum/drum, disc/drum, and disc/disc setups.

If that is the case I might better bite the bullet and buy the front disc brake kit and power brake upgrade all at once. Anyone care to recommend a kit or vendor for this type of upgrade?

The difference between drum/drum or disc/drum or disc/disc is the proportioning valve. In the CPP power booster kit, there is a proportioning valve attached to the master cylinder. When you want to convert to disc/drum, you swap in a new proportioning valve. The master cylinder and booster stay put. | | |
