I have just started on my 1953 3600. You sure do give me some inspiration! I would like to know what 8 lug wheels did you find and tires to fit. The ones I have found seem too tall! I had the split rims in the beginning, but want to get rid of them and it looked liked you had changed your rims?

I used 8-lug wheels from a 1991 Suburban, 3/4 ton trucks use the same wheel in that time period. I bought the whole set for $60 from a guy who deals in wheels here in Salt Lake. Then added clips for the hubcaps. I will have to look at the exact tire size they are 16" Commercial T/A's which I thought looked old school. I will post the size on Monday for you.

I know not everyone does but I love the big trucks. I used to deliver furniture when I was in high school the company truck looked like your Big Orange. It was one of the funnest jobs I ever had I loved the thumbs-up I got all over town.
